Admin Strip 2, is a wordpress 2.1.x (and now 2.2) plugin, based on the admin bar plugin that provides a simple, efficient management tool, in the form of a thin blue strip at the bottom of your browser window, when logged in.
From spam management to comments, creating new entries or editing existing — jump straight to key admin sections and save time!

Simply download, activate and profit. The CSS is included right in the plugin to allow for easy editing.
If the tag count doesn’t display after activiating the plugin, please edit, scroll down and update the $tags variable to match your db. In 99.9% of cases this will be wp_tags, however if you have a different prefix, then the aforementioned variable will need to be updated.
In future Wordpress builds, tagging will be built in and thus easier to detect.
Warning: this plugin is designed-for wordpress 2.1.x an 2.2.x — please don’t try this on 2.0.x builds (matthew can hook you up with an older version, above).
